Second Stage Round 8: Derby - Mega BG 89-85

There was an upset in Podgorica where higher ranked SerbianMega BG (10-14) was defeated by eighth ranked Montenegrin Derby (7-17) 89-85 on Monday. The best player for the winners was power forward Aleksa Ilic (204-1996) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Slovenian point guard Matic Rebec (183-1995, agency: SLN) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. Forward Bogoljub Markovic (210-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and Nikola Djurisic (203-2004) added 18 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Derby maintains eighth position with 7-17 record. Mega BG at the other side keeps the third place with 14 games lost.
